Greg Laurie Preaches on The Secret to Being a World Changer

That phrase bugs me a lot..."World Changer". Hmm sounds like World Server and some of you remember me mentioning them before.

Everyone wants to have a purpose and "change the world" is very appealing in being given that purpose like for a "Purpose Driven Life". Some of that stuff is based in pride, where people think they can have control over the world and run the show and change people and fix them, themselves. This is American competitiveness, "you gotta win" motivational speaking [see around 14:40 or else] with the back message, "Don't be a loser". Was the race described in the bible, to "win" in this world or change it? I don't think so.

How can this guy have any credibility when there are so many videos on line with him posing with six sign and devil's horn? World changer sounds more like a philosophy than a disciple of Christ bringing the Gospel to the world. This philosophy will gather all to believe in a one world system during the anti-Christ rule.

I think a lot of these guys buy into this ideology with good intentions, sure it sounds like something Jesus would do, change the world, and He will but that time is not yet. They forget that His mission was one of atonement and get caught up on the "good works bandwagon" where they believe it is the duty of a Christian to change the world i.e. political systems, societal norms and the like. While it is true that our world view as believers in Jesus the Christ will change our perception of the world and influence how we do things, the suggestion posited by the likes of Laurie, in my opinion, is a far cry from what we find Jesus commanding us to do in the memoirs of the apostles. People like Laurie appeal to the flesh. Whatever happened to not letting your right hand know what your left is doing? Do what Christ commands you when no one else sees. Do these guys forget that Jesus promised us persecution in this world for living for Him? Where do they get this nonsense about changing the world? Jesus will change it when He establishes His kingdom on earth. -Terry-

I agree, even for those not up on the symbols, one wonders how they can bear the constant motivational success preaching. This tells me his audience must all be comfortably middle class and above, the Tony Robbins taint to this one, was too extreme for words. These are the people with their thousands of dollars of plane tickets going to tell the "heathens", America rah rah and preaching Dominionism and false Christian Triumphalism instead of life in Jesus Christ. The one world system has definitely been built. No one ever asks, do other people want to be "changed". It's imperialism on steroids. It also turns "Christians" into conquering enemies. World changing is based on pride. It is the dream of rich men, when poor men know this world is of oppression. His sermon offends me on multiple levels.

Does anyone else wonder why Laurie always wears black or a very deep shade of purple? Is he communicating that he's of the black-robe hierarchy whose pope is over the white Pope? I had a teen who wanted to wear nothing but black for awhile when the Goth trend became "in". She now admits that it felt "wicked" and rebellious to dress that way.

BB,

"...the race is not to the swift..." (Ecclesiastes 9:11)

"So the last shall be first, and the first last..." (Matthew 20:16)

"...let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," (Hebrews 12:1)

Laurie and his kind are liars!

Speaking of symbols, what's with the "X" that he uses as his symbol? The "X" is a sign of the new world order, a sign of freemasonry, and a sign of pedophilia, depending on where you see it. The message itself was just "do-gooder" sorts of things without any mention of avoiding false teachers and false teachings, without any mention of obedience to the Bible as the final authority.

Greg Laurie just joined the Southern Baptist Convention officially, so he is fully integrated into the freemasonic brotherhood and ecumenical movement. His job now is to get all professing "Christians" to unite with catholicism. And through catholicism will the "world be changed". Not for the better, of course. But for the antichrist.

BB, your words, "World changing is based on pride. It is the dream of rich men, when poor men know this world is of oppression," really hit me. I spent 5 years at a well-known liberal arts college (hint: it's best known for not taking government funding) being indoctrinated with this religious-based "change the culture" stuff. The whole time I felt something was off, but I knew the UN/NWO "social justice" mush I grew up surrounded by in the UMC wasn't the answer either. It's been so hard to find the narrow path (I can't say "middle way," sounds too Hegelian, lol -- I have never forgotten your article on that, years ago!) of not conforming to the world and yet having compassion on the needy & poor as James 1:27 instructs. Your honesty in your blog, when you talk about your own struggles with poverty & being an outcast, has been eye-opening for me. I found your blog back when I was in school, but now am seriously keeping up with it again.

Amen to the verses posted by The LORD is my Shepherd.

I see these global world changers as a controlled group disguised as global crusaders. We can only see the working hands but we don't see the ruling in charge. They are like the dominionists and Knights of Malta in Freemasonry. When times come these global communities will see their true leaders rise- offering them freedom from persecution if they only follow their diabolical plan and agenda. Remember unless people are roped into groups they cannot be managed. And if they are doing noble things how can one fall prey into the hands of evil?

From a website: X—The Egyptian Connection

From what source do the Masons draw for this funeral symbolism of the X? In my book, Dark Majesty, I explain the Egyptian connection:
In ancient Egypt, the mark of "X" and the symbol of cross-bones in the symbol of an X was very prominent in religious contexts. You can find the X on the walls of a number of ancient Egyptians temples and pyramids... It is the sign of Osiris, the great sun God...

The ancient pharaohs, when they were buried, had the legs crossed in the form of "X" as a sign of devotion to Osiris.''
Today, as in ancient Egypt, Osiris the sun God is worshipped; now the homage and veneration comes from the Masons and their fellow Illuminists. These men mistakenly believe they are illumined (enlightened) by their solar deity, the Great Architect, Jahbuhlun, or Lucifer.

They have even arranged for Osiris' watchful eye, the all-seeing eye, to be pictured on each and every U.S.A. one dollar bill. It is the eye in the capstone surrounded by the rays of the sun announcing to the whole world the coming of a New Age, a New World Order (Novus Ordo Seclorum).

The tower of Babel is being rebuilt once again except it is not a tower built of bricks and mortar. It is a global world of diabolical plans reuniting all people to follow the anti-Christ. He will set himself up in the temple and claim himself to be God. Masons are climbing their levels with all the occult rituals and secret knowledge waiting at the top where they meet their true master...Lucifer the bearer of light, the great architect of the universe, much like the tower builder of Babylon. He is not light but presents himself as an angel of light. It is a work's based salvation but not salvation at all. You become a more worthy servant as you progress into the higher stages of masonry which is so much like Jehovah Witnesses. With Jesus we cannot work or earn our salvation, it is a free gift of grace for those who give their life to Christ. We become seated with Christ and are part of His royal family as He is our King. We are blessed to be made righteous in His sight.
2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Watcherfiles.com So, Mr. Pastor, if you are a Freemason, you share all these beliefs of Freemasonry. This brands you as a counterfeit Christian! As you are preaching the Truth of the Gospel, you are secretly holding to Luciferian beliefs. You are deliberately misleading the "ignorant masses" for their "own good", so that, when Antichrist arises, you may lead your followers to him!

The Secret.... everyone wants "the secret" instead of the truth. He sure does talk about himself a lot. "I this, I that." Very self centered and his jokes are kinda lousy.
No true gospel.

Amen Anonymous. Greg Laurie was one of the preachers I listened to years ago, coming to the same conclusion. His self centeredness eventually tuned me off and I listened no more. While the Apostle Paul boasted of Jesus Christ, Greg boasts of the wonders of himself and frankly, it is sickening.

Isn't Greg Laurie more of a universalist?

"Isn't Greg Laurie more of a universalist?"

He is in that direction, and he is very ecumenical.
